A little background:
The maker of these fine table products is XOCHI. This name was derived from Xochiquetzal, the Zapotec Indian goddess of agriculture and weavers. Xochiquetzal was also the divinity of painters, embroiders, silversmiths and sculptors. Here is a 16th century image of Xochiquetzal as illustrated in the Codex Ríos which is held in the Vatican Library.
