Astor Chinoisserie Square Canister

The Astor collection consists of ceramic vases, canisters, and ginger jars with such beautiful detailing as chinoisserie, lattice work, garlands, and pineapple finial-topped lids. The Astor urns and jars are available in a shiny white lacquer-appearing finish that pops in any room. The simple, sculptural shapes and intricate details are the salient characteristics of the Hollywood Regency period, which combined many popular motifs from the Art Deco and Greek Revival periods, among others, to emerge as its own distinct style in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
