About the Artist:
Abra Gorby, designer and artist, primarily works with resins and cotton materials, along with semiprecious stones and vintage plastics, to create some of the most magnificent jewelry ever seen. All jewelry is created piece by piece and nothing is ever mass produced. Each piece represents a certain sculptural quality which is easily recognized by the public. Her work is sold in galleries and museums nationwide, and is also sold in Guatemala, Mexico, Australia, and Canada.
About Metallic Nuggets:
Abra Gorby’s Metallic Nuggets are cast and polished. They are dipped in a copper solution and then they are plated. They are wired in an anatomically correct "pattern", and sculpted to fit well. Upon completion, the entire piece is dipped in liquid polyester to protect the metal from oxidation. The end result is truly unique and never boring!
